CBI Searches at Former Chhattisgarh CM Residence: Sixteen days after the Enforcement Directorate (ED) conducted searches at the residence of Bhupesh Baghel and his son Chaitanya, a team from the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) landed at the former Chhattisgarh chief minister’s residences in Raipur and Bhilai on Wednesday morning.
While the central probe agency hasn’t released any statement on the matter, the Congress and Baghel’s own team have spoken about it.
“Now CBI has arrived. Former Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel is scheduled to go to Delhi today for the meeting of the “Drafting Committee” constituted for the AICC meeting to be held in Ahmedabad (Gujarat) on 8 and 9 April. Even before that, CBI has reached Raipur and Bhilai Niwas(residence),” Baghel’s team posted on social media platform X (formerly Twitter).
In a statement, Congress party’s communication head for Chhattisgarh, Sushil Anand Shukla said, “BJP’s Modi government sent CBI to the residence of Congress National General Secretary and former Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel CBI has reached both Raipur and Bhilai.”
