The St. Thomas School in Dwarka, among the five schools that received bomb threats today, also received the same threat a day before.
At least five schools in Delhi received similar bomb threat mails on Wednesday morning, said police, adding that the threats have come for the third consecutive day.
Police on Wednesday said all the emails have been declared hoax but searches are being conducted as part of security protocol.
The emails claimed that explosive devices/substances had been planted on the school campus.
According to Delhi Police, among the schools that received the threat mail on Wednesday are St. Thomas School in Dwarka, Vasant Valley School in Vasant Kunj, Mother’s International School in Hauz Khas, Richmond Global School in Paschim Vihar and Sardar Patel Vidyalaya in Lodi Estate.
St Thomas School received the threat mail twice in as many days.
Multiple teams from the Delhi Fire Service (DFS), local police, bomb detection and disposal squads were rushed to the sites. Students who reached school were evacuated and sent outside the gates and their families were informed.
A senior police officer said, “We received alerts early in the morning from schools about the emails. Teams of the bomb detection and disposal squad were sent with special cell officials. We are also looking into the email received. Nothing has been found yet. We ensured all parents and school staff had been alerted.”
The email is said to be received around 8am.
The officer added, “Around 10 schools and one college have received similar bomb threats in the last three days”.
On Tuesday, St. Thomas school and St. Stephen’s College received threats. Both institutes had to be evacuated. Nothing was found and the threats were declared hoax
On Monday, Navy School in Chanakyapuri, CRPF School in Dwarka, and a Rohini—baser school received bomb threat emails.
Police are yet to identify the sender of the mails in the cases this week.
Meanwhile, Sardar Patel Vidyalaya sent an email to the families of the children.
“Dear Parents, Due to a potential bomb threat received this morning, and as advised by the police, Sardar Patel Vidyalaya, will remain closed today, 16th July, 2025. A Bomb Disposal Squad is conducting a full sanitisation of the premises. We will keep you updated… For parents of students who travel on their own, please pick up your ward either from the junior school gate or the senior school ground gate. Those using the school bus will be returning by the same…”, the letter read.
