Apple MacBook Air M2 Price Reduced In India, Here Is How Much It Costs Now

Apple MacBook Air M2: Tech giant Apple on Monday silently launched the much-anticipated new 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Air models with updated M3 chipsets. Both new Macs are priced above Rs 1 Lakh in the country. Additionally, Apple also reduced the pricing of the previous generation MacBook Air, which comes with the M2 chip. According to the company, the 13-inch MacBook Air with the M2 chipset, launched in 2022, is now priced at Rs 99,900, and Rs 89,900 for education.

Originally launched at 1,19,900 for the base model in 2022, the M2 MacBook Air laptops are now offered at a more reasonable price. This marks the second price reduction for the 13-inch MacBook Air M2 model since its initial release. Available in midnight, starlight, silver, and space grey, the M2 MacBook Air lineup now comes at a decent rate.

The MacBook Air with the M2 chip has a 13.6-inch Liquid Retina display, a 1080p FaceTime HD camera, and a four-speaker sound system. It can last up to 18 hours on a single charge and supports MagSafe charging. You can get it in four different colors: silver, space gray, midnight, and starlight.

The M2 chip has an 8-core CPU and up to a 10-core GPU. According to Apple, it also includes a next-generation media engine and a powerful ProRes video engine for better video performance, allowing you to play back more 4K and 8K video streams than before.

For charging, the new MacBook Air has a MagSafe port and supports either a 35W charger or a 67W charger. There’s a new 35W compact power adapter with two USB-C ports, so you can charge two devices simultaneously. Additionally, there’s an optional 67W USB-C power adapter for fast charging, which can charge up to 50 percent in just 30 minutes.

The MacBook Air also has two Thunderbolt ports for connecting accessories, a 3.5 mm audio jack for headphones, and a Magic Keyboard with Touch ID. The 1080p FaceTime HD camera now has a larger image sensor, and the laptop includes a four-speaker sound system.

On the other hand, the new 13-inch MacBook Air price in India starts at Rs 1,14,900 and Rs 1,04,900 for education. The 15‑inch MacBook Air with M3 starts at Rs 1,34,900 and Rs 1,24,900 for education. Both are available in midnight, starlight, silver, and space grey.

The new MacBook Air models come with 13.6- or 15.3-inch Liquid Retina display with up to 500 nits of brightness, support for 1 billion colours, and up to 2x the resolution of comparable PC laptops. The will support up to two external displays when the laptop lid is closed. The laptops will have Magsafe charging and two Thunderbolt ports for connecting accessories, along with a 3.5mm headphone jack.
