The New Forest Bees Nest Pitching Competition returns for a second year this June following a ‘hugely successful’ inaugural event.
Organised by IncuHive in partnership with New Forest District Council, the event will welcome entrepreneurs with innovative business ideas as they vie for a £1,000 cash prize.
There’ll also be an opportunity for local companies to take part in a business showcase exhibition.
George Scott-Welsh, CEO of IncuHive, said: “We’re excited to host the New Forest Bees Nest Pitching Competition and support the entrepreneurial spirit of the New Forest community.
“This is an opportunity for budding entrepreneurs to showcase their ideas, win a great selection of prizes including £1,000 cash, and gain valuable free publicity.”
IncuHive runs coworking spaces across Hampshire – Hursley, Andover, Stockbridge, Brockenhurst, and Winchester – as well as in Weybridge, Surrey, and Wilton, Wiltshire.
Cllr Derek Tipp, portfolio holder for economy and planning, added: “New Forest District Council is very pleased to again work in partnership with IncuHive on the Bees Nest competition.
“This builds on the work of the council’s Start Up Support program, also delivered by IncuHive.
“We encourage our local entrepreneurs to get involved and help to showcase both their business and the terrific entrepreneurial spirit within the New Forest.”
The government-funded competition is open to anyone thinking about starting a business in the New Forest, as well as anyone who’s done so recently or knows someone who has.
It will take place from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm on Wednesday 26 June at The Linden Hall, Lyndhurst Community Centre.
