Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge launch date leaked and it seems quite accurate

The Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge is now rumoured to launch on May 13. While the phone is yet to be announced, the leaks and rumours got you covered.

In Short

  • Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge is expected to launch on May 13
  • It is teased to house a dual-camera set-up
  • It is rumoured to be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Elite chip

The Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge — the slimmest smartphone in the Samsung-verse — is reportedly delayed. Previous rumours stated that the phone will be launched on April 15. However, this date is now cancelled out. But why? One of the reasons could be the demise of Samsung co-CEO Han Jong-hee. That said, recent rumours suggest that the Galaxy S25 Edge will launch on May 13.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge launch date (leaked)

According to the SamMobile report, Samsung now plans to launch the Galaxy S25 Edge on May 13. It also highlights that the company may not host a big-scale event, even though the Edge is a new innovation. Samsung could launch the Galaxy S25 Edge with just a small presentation, which is still a little more effort than the press note Apple did for the iPhone 16e.

Moreover, the report also says that the sale date is still under wraps. The phone might not hit the shelves until the next month. This means that interested users may have to wait a little longer to get their hands on the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge: What to expect

Despite the launch date being pushed back, fresh leaks surrounding the Galaxy S25 Edge continue to create a buzz.

At a mere 5.84mm thick, the Galaxy S25 Edge is on track to become the slimmest Samsung model. Although it’s slightly bulkier than the rumoured iPhone 17 Air, early impressions suggest it maintains flagship performance standards. To reinforce the premium aesthetic, Samsung is reportedly using a titanium frame—renowned for its strength, lightness, and resistance to scratches. Leaked hands-on-video has already offered a preview of the device, revealing three refined colour options: Titanium Icy Blue, Titanium Jet Black, and Titanium Silver.

The phone is likely to be driven by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, the same flagship processor found in the rest of the S25 range. Paired with 12GB of RAM, the device is anticipated to handle everything from intensive gaming to multitasking with ease.

The only concerning part of the upcoming phone is its 4,000mAh battery. While this may not compete with the capacities of bulkier models, it could be a notable achievement. The S25 Edge is expected to feature a dual-camera setup, a 200-megapixel main sensor, and the front camera may feature a 12-megapixel camera.
