SHEIN and Transfar Chemicals hope that this partnership would hasten the commercialisation and implementation of scientific developments in textile manufacturing and dyeing techniques.
The partnership will concentrate on projects in three main areas: the creation of novel practical textiles and clothing that satisfy the demands of contemporary customers; and the digitisation of dyeing and textile finishing processes that lower energy, water, and carbon emissions. Stretch fabric, water-repellent materials, and the creation of testing procedures for novel textile materials, clothing items, or procedures that support uniformity in safety, quality, and performance testing are examples of functional fabrics.
SHEIN will be able to track demand for high-end textiles and innovative production techniques by utilising its digitalised supply chain platform. Transfar Chemicals can use its knowledge of functional chemistry to help advance the creation of novel materials, processes, and techniques for the production and dyeing of textiles that aim to save waste, energy, and water.
In order to facilitate the commercialisation of Transfar Chemical’s research, SHEIN will also promote and encourage industrial cooperation between Transfar Chemicals and regional textile and dyeing companies as part of its mission to modernise the textile dyeing and finishing industry.
